At first I thought image was great and then when I saw what the original image was that it came from, then I realized this picture was flat out amazing. Very sharp image and great work after the shot.
this is an amazing shot. the crop really adds something to it. i am an artist & i was wondering if i could have your permission to paint this someday? i was also wondering what kind of software you used to do your editing?
Alain -
It has all been said by others.. but just had to say that the image is an inspiration to all others to persevere at the "taking" stage and also in the Edit stage in PS'. A truly wonderful shot, captivating and well deserved praise.
thanks for sharing and congratulations.
Congrats on your first ribbon! a fantastic powerful gaze...hopefully they won't dq you as they did me for a similar tiger image where I burned out the background :( (Still not over it!!!) just kidding, I AM over it...

Congratulations on your Ribbon well deserved
awesome job on the processing of this. I would love to see the step by step pictures of this. I have many photos through glass like this that I would love to take to the next level. I'll keep practicing, and hopefully I'll get something like this some day!
Yes...Yes...Yes..... Finally you have your first ribbon, and so deserved. Long overdue, as your top five images could all have ribboned, due to the outstanding photography.....
A perfect shot here, and in a 'Free Study', and I am so very pleased for you Alain.....
Congrats on a well deserved ribbon. You've really pulled a lot of detail out in the processing and yet you wouldn't think that from the shot alone. Very good job indeed!
Wow! That is some incredible processing to go from the original to this. :)
Another wonderful animal portrait with your Bigma. I really have to get me one of those...then another million years to learn how to process as well as you do, and I am in business! LOL
Congratulations, Alain!! A VERY long overdue ribbon - very pleased to see your work on the front page!! And this is an amazing shot with stunning presence.
