This was shot while running a sail boat far offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. It was late night, 1:30 AM, so I snapped a few hand held six second shots at a thunderstorm that was a few miles away to help keep me awake. This one turned out all right. The only light is stars and lightning, which is a brief flash, so long hand held exposure worked fine.
