A shoehorn for the perspective challenge on day #20. I think I did decent on the selective desaturation, except for the lower right of the handle, where my selection area got a little jagged.
The shoehorn is chrome and picked up a lot of yellow reflections. I was trying to partially desaturate to kill some of the yellow cast on it and decided I liked the selective desat look for this. I've been having issues when photographing items on colored posterboard of the object picking up a reflected color cast. I think that is part of what hurt my scores in "Bicycles II" and "Portrait of a camera" If anyone has a suggestion, I'm needing to know what I am doing wrong with lighting that causes this.
I think you have done this one really well, and I like the strong impact of the perspective that you have achieved here.....
Love the strong yellow background, as it makes the shoehorn really 'POP'.....
