Oh, Wow! I never dreamt in a million years that this would do so well.
Thank you, thank you for the fantastic score, you guys.
I backlit a wine glass filled with tap water. Held the syringe in and tried to get some good looking air bubbles. This was quite difficult because the air bubbles rose to the water surface at an alarming speed and I couldn’t catch them half the time. I didn’t want too many bubbles because that made the whole thing too messy, only one or two big ones. I love the glassy look they have.
Thank you so much for the ribbon.

How do you get your sensor so clean Irene? Could you share what you do?
Debbi
Hi Debbi, I use the Copperhill method. It works fine for me. Although saying that, the first time I used it on my D70 (about 2 years ago) I was so nervous and my hand was shaking so badly, I used 7 swabs before the sensor (it's actually the filter over the sensor) was really dust free. Nowadays I only need 1 or 2 at the most to get it really clean (and no shaking hands ;-)
Thanks for explaining how this was done. I see photos like this all the time and am like "How did they do that?" I am going to practice and try something like this for fun. Thanks for explaining and great shot
No, I think I know what you are up to...you take PERFORMANCE ENHANCING PHOTOGRAPHY DRUGS and this is the syringe! You have been caught! I will report this to the site council immediately...get your urine sample ready Irene, they'll be at your door momentarily...
LOL!! Enzo, I'll send you my urine sample per post and you can pass it on to the site council ;-D

So so well done, and again, you are reaping the DPC ribbon awards, and they are all so well deserved, as you are just an amazing photographer..... I am in AWE of your photography and also you.....
Conrats Irene! I'm a big fan of you style and this picture just adds to my admiration. I was mistaken for you in the High Contrast challenge a few times and I consider that quite the compliment!
Very clean shot, the toning really works well for it. The different elements of the photo come together nicely, the smaller bubbles inside the syringe add some texture to it, the larger ones form great shapes which hold the interest of the viewer well. I might have preferred this a bit more with a steeper incline angle to the syringe but overall its a great shot - 8.
