This is a real crime scene, but because of just shooting a small detail (such as would be done in a CSI image, it wasn't recognized as such.
I had trouble getting the broken part of the window to show, both in the color version and the b&w version. Here is a partial desat that I think may be more effective.
Some people commented that they didn't like the trash in the foreground. I don't like trash either, but that is part of the "evidence" and I thought, from a purely photographic view point, fit well in the composition.

I have to admit, I was one of those that hade trouble connecting the title with the photo. But hay, when I went voting it was after working a 70 hour week, and the temps where over 100, ¾ of the time, which gives you a idea of common voters mentality ; p. I will say now that my skin has quit melting (well for today at least) I like the color version a little better (sorry), and maybe a title change to indicate vandalism would have you paying penance for momentary lack of sucking. Of coarse you could completely discount what was wrote and continue kicking my butt as you normally do! : )…
I look at this and it could have been made by a baseball, or golf ball or any number of reasons. It really does not give me the feeling of breakin nor of a crime.
