The high ISO was because I wanted to give it a try. I had the camera on a Tripod so I could have, and in retrospect wish that I'd taken some complementary pictures at lower ISO as well.
It was after reading all the comments about the D70 not going down to ISO100 (like the Rebel does) that I wanted to see what kind of grain we were talking about. Figured if I could take a decent shot at 1600, I could do a good one at 200. I feel this one came out decent, the rest I still have to prove :-)
Doing an egg was kinda cheating since it contains natural "grain" in the texture, and on the one with yellows in it, I did apply some gaussian blur in the yellow. But this is DP, so I figured it'd be ok.. |
