 This was one of the shots I did during he female portrait shoot (I was going to use this pose as my entry but changed my mind last minute)

I think I prefer this pose over your entry. It seems a bit more relaxed and natural I think. It also creates some nice compositional elements. Your leg creates a leading line to your face. Your arms create a strong wedge shape. Just my opinion however.
