So I found this mask this morning while cleaning out my closet. I thought I had thrown it away. I had the peacock feathers from a recent photoshoot, so I decided to hot glue the feathers on to the mask. I like the result. I had Nicki lay down and wrapped her with green silky fabric. I really liked it until I decided to try black and white. I liked it even more. It is not quite as baroque as I wanted it to be...I was going for a Venice Carnival type look. But I noticed that very few people were submitting into this challenge so I decided to go for it.
WOW....a blue and a personnel best for me. This image started at a 5.7 when voting began....then just kept going up. A fun ride to watch. Thanks all so much.

Jennifer, this is another stunner! I love seeing your work here on dpChallenge because we get to see how you accomplished your amazing results. THANK YOU for sharing how you did it to get that beautiful dreamy effect with the silk fabric.
Congratulations on such amazing off-the-chart consistent winning photography!
Truly beautiful - congrats on this exceptional piece of art.
Can't think of a single thing to improve it other than to add to my favs! (edit for spelling - duh)
BFC: Amazing work here, the sharpening on her eyes works so well here; pulls you right into the shot. Lighting, composition and post work are all spot on. Well done, 10 from this voter.
PS. I really hope this makes one of the top three. It is SO good!
I wasn't planning to vote on this challenge until I saw this entry. I find it breathtaking. The black and white really sets off the contrast between the mask and her skin. I find the model alluring yet mysterious.
However I do see a few things I don't like in this image. The first I notice is the part of the feather going over her forehead. The reflection of her left eye (---> in image) looks soft and also her hair seems slightly soft.
I love this shot - so many great textures between her silky hair, the lace of the mask, the soft sheen of the satin and the downy feather... and those sparkling eyes! wow!
