 I took this picture of my older brother Kyle as he was playing guitar.. Obviously.
What you can not see is that I used my dad's studio lights as my single light source, as well as my reflectors used to bounce the light back on his face. Also used my canon 50mm lens to get the depth of field I wanted.

I would have liked to see his face more in focus than the guitar and his hands 6

This picture would be 100x better if the focus was on him and not the neck of the guitar (as I'm sure I'm not the only one to say).

With the way this is focused it is a picture of a guitar and not of a man playing a guitar. It would also be nice if he were more engaged with the camera.

I'd like to love this shot, but I think the guitar is the star of the show here, making your subject more of a backdrop. I love the old Yamaha though.
