It's a well composed shot. The outfit, or lack thereof, seems unusual for a portrait - feels more like an ad for clothing than a portrait of a person.

Well, this could be straight out of a magazine. The lighting and conversion is just spot on. If anything it's a bit too commercial and not human enough to satisfy what I like best about portraiture, but the technicals are all there. Don't like his belly-button though!
