Only now that I drink four Bacardi-cokes and after 00.00 I see that you scored a ribbon with this. After last years workshop/GTG that is kind of logical. :))))
If you want to see some more photos of him, there are many on my website (he got his own category "projects" :-)

thanks again!
That is an incredible series... extremely professional, perfectly done. And that ring light works so well... Please don't make me spend more money. :(
Beautifully done, from the angle to the ringlight to catch those beautiful baby blues of his. And having a gorgeous young man as your model definitely helps! Congratulations!
hey guys, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! You don't know what this means to me, I'm so happy that one of my photos got a ribbon, and especially this one. I love to take photos of Gernot, we have so many different and still have many ideas! The funny thing is, it's his birthday today! :-) Good birthday present, I think. :-)

This was one of my favorites during the challenge. I love the circular catch lights in the eyes. Good control of the DOF. Congrats on your first ribbon.
edit to add: hmm..apparently this is comment number 1400 for me. Well thank you for being part of a milestone!
I knew this had to ribbon! I checked out the link you sent me of his other photos, and WOW! He is really an amazing face! Greatjpob, congrats, and keep this boy aroundhere!lol
Congratulations on a well-deserved ribbon; I really like the different shades of blue and of course the light reflected in the eyes really makes them pop.
Good composition - but for my taste the lighting is all a bit flat (and bright) on the face. The choice of blues for the shirt and background is a very strong one, however. Technically it's a good portrait but for me it fails to establish any emotional connection with the viewer.
Great shot. You gotta love the ringlight.
Edit: So after voting on the whole challenge, I'm back to bump some of my favotites. Since I've bumped some photos to a 9 and this is clearly my blue ribbon choice for this challenge, you get a 10 + a favorite.
Good eye connection with the viewer. Not sure if I like the slanted perspective, makes it look like he's trapped in a room with a low ceiling and can't stand up straight. =)
