I'm guessing from, from the "stairs" that this is looking up a hill but, having shot it from the bottom you can't really tell. If you would have shot from photographer's left you might have had a slightly better perspective to show the incline. Just a thought

I have to look carefuly to find the path. Maybe making the stone steps a leading line and mre in the center of composition would make the subject more prominent. You could try to move a bit to the right.
