Very washed out. It's tough to shoot into the sun. If you were using automatic settings, cameras have a hard time with such shots. Some color adjustments in software could have probably helped it some.

I like the idea, but unfortunately the colors have been washed out. Seems like the photo is just a few moments too late.

lighting seems overexposed and flat. had you underexposed the same shot by 2 stops it would look nice with the sun flare and the water scene...
