 I don't really know what this flower is but the colours looked good!! Taken in macro mode.

Cloned out a few leaves at the bottom of the shot.

Looks like a tulip from here. I love the angle, the simplicity, the light ... actually I love everything about this image. The colors are brilliant, and I like the way the flower is reaching for the sky.

I love those petals curling out and over at either side: the brush strokes in them recall the elaborate Dutch paintings of them tulips.
Like the sky behind it.
