Excellent picture. I love her expression!
Ran levels and Neat Image, resized and ran unsharp mask. Then I took the baby out of the box. And no, she didn't eat any of the peanuts... Hope you worked fast and your PC is fast as well and did not let the baby to wait too long in the box LOL
Congrats on your ribbon!

Congrats on your ribbon!
Thanks everyone for the nice comments... I won a ribbon!! YAY! It's so exciting! Especially since the subject is my pride and joy 5 month old! Someone asked to see the original image in color, so tomorrow when I get more time I'll try and post them in a forum thread. Thanks for everyone's votes as well!
Congrats on the well deserved ribbon. The only thing I didn't like about this was that the eyes appear to have lost focus when you ran it through neat image. I could be wrong of course. Basically, I would have liked to see more detail in the eyes.
The only "Isn't my baby cute" shot in the competition and it actually is on challenge and a good shot! Amazing! Great expression you caught and funny without being endangering. Good close up work, the slight distortion helps the shot a lot. Now what I don't like. The background rectangular shape (floor? table top?) is distracting, repeating the square shape of the composition but not exactly. The conversion to B&W is a bit too soft, while the warm middle tones are sweet, I miss any bits of true black that would have made this shot pop. Good work, top ten.
Cute! I would have liked to see more of the box, but it's pretty nice as is. I'm also curious why you chose black & white over color. After the contest I'd like to see the two compared if at all possible.
Comic and well performed. Good lightning and of course a most beautiful model where the beautiful eyes and the whole face is asking: "what on earth are you doing to me?" Maybe litle more contrast but I´m not sure.
Great expression captured here, technically not perfect but one of the best in this challenge no doubt, I predict a ribbon or top10 for sure. Good luck I gave it a 9
While I'm not one to be a sucker for baby shots, I am a sucker for a well composed photo. The angle of the shot with the head seemingly oversized due to the aperture used and closeness of the lens-- whatever -- plus the straight on look of the "package contents" make this one of the best photos in the challenge, so far. Excellent DOF and well framed. Good luck. I don't give out many 10's but this is one.
