Male Lion taken at the St Louis Zoo. He was laying with a female and taking it easy. Then he out of no were catches wind of something and sits up at attention and looks right at me and just stares at me like he knew i was taking his picture, a very beautiful animal. One day I hope to go and see these animals, among others, in the wild.
This is cropped a lot but thanks to the lens it turned out nice and sharp. I desaturated because I wanted a bit more dramatic look them full color and I added vignette to focus more attention on him. I'll add more steps later if need be.

This works so very well because of the asymmetric look of his face. It's interesting and different. And your processing suits this very nicely - great work all around.
I meant to comment on this during the challenge. I thought the tone and textures of the fur just looked wonderful. I also love how it looks like he is about to speak.
