 this might be a mosquito ..
i never noticed the brush thing on the front of their face before .. probably coz i've never had one in my sights using the macro lens .. this one was taken early in the morning when insects are nice and slow and arent so flighty .. :)

freakin' amazing shots you nail there! geesh, it's fascinating to see these things like this, but I tell you I'd rather smash it- now that's a shot for you- with someone's blood ooozing out of its flattened little body...oh the travails of being an unloved insect!

This one is so pretty, Roz. What an expert, excellent capture of the water on the web. I hate mosquitos so much -- but this beautiful photo of one causes me to re-think my lack of affection for those biting little nuisances :)
