Composition is fine, meets the challenge and goes with the popular saying. I dont really see anything 'wrong' but it doesnt have much appeal or interest to me in the long run. Just an average photo for me, sorry.

the diamond seems a little out of focus.

The dimond dont seem to be absolutely right focused. The grass in the forground is sharp but the dimond seems to be litle out of your shallow focus range.
