Part of this years FotoFreo Photography exhibition in Freemantle, Australia was held in the old Freemantle Prison. This piece was being exhibited in a downstairs room and the combination of the photograph, the lighting, and the old brickwork took my interest. I'm not sure if I was supposed to be taking pictures but there wasn't a sign to say so.

I really like this, the contrast between the picture and it's surrounding is amazing. also, I like that it was shot hand held without any flash. Great image.
Great contrast between the "gallery" and the location of the "artwork" both in terms of colour palettes and in terms of soft natural/ organic versus hard, solid and man-made.
