Even when I sit up straight for a perfect viewing angle the blacks look awfully rich, & my eye is diverted to the grey/white checkerboard. I tried it out on my ViewSonic at home & then on the Dell at work. Both had very rich, flat blacks. I don't know if that's what you wanted, but it's my honest $.02-worth.

it may not be exciting but is sure is a sharp and well captured shot - you don't need a fancy dancy camera to get a sharp image - just a stead hand (or steady tripod!)

Nice clean simple uncluttered image, personally I'd have been tempted to run shadow / highlights on it.
