Brody (11 month-old Golden), Drake (2 year-old Lab), Ginger (1.5 year-old Golden), Georgee (4 year-old Golden/Lab mix). I love dogs and taking their pictures individually, but man, working with 5 at once is a pain. -_- I tried to get my old guy (Sunny, almost 10 year-old Golden) to be in the picture too, but he didn't want to co-operate.
Brody, Drake, & Georgee belong to our friend who has trained service dogs for years and all four in the photo were in training at one time and either didn't finish training or were rejected for different reasons. Thankfully that means that all of them are highly trained, so it made it possible to try and work with them. Nikki, their owner helped me to get them lined up and get their attention.
This was my first "off-site" shoot and considering the use of 5 energetic Golden Retrievers and a Labrador Retriever, I think it went fairly well. ^_^

Terrific capture. I understand about trying to get dogs to all be in a shot together!!! LOL This is wonderful. They all look so happy! The angle is great and I love the sepia. Under optimum circumstances, I might remove the grate below their feet.
heheh the black one knows he's the odd one out :-) I think this shot would have worked really well from the front too, although you woulda had to lay in front of all those slobbering jaws - imagine the image face on, white/black/white/white - coulda been a ribbon ;-)
The focus is so crisp in this photo. I'm not fond of the "stuff" in the background or the drain in the foreground. And I wish I could see more of the black dog. They all look really soft and friendly. :)
Good capture of the dogs. I like the idea. It works, but somehow the black dog, while out of place, could be more in the forefront rather than a bit hidden. I know you can't really pose them, but I would have loved to see the black dog right between the pose of the fron two dogs.
Good choice of tone for this image. The composition works well though it might be cropped a little tight on top (there were probably some distractions there). 7
would have been excelent as opposed to good if tighter crop on heads to remove distractions in the background and if the odd one out had been less obscured
Great expressions on the dogs! I would have liked to see nothing but that, the backround does nothing but distract. Why desaturate the colors? I would have thought given the title you chose that the subjuect matter would have looked great in rich over the top color. Good shot, a tighter crop would have helped though.
very nice, too bad for the umrella base on the background and a landscape light growing out of the lab's head... still, great idea! and they are all such cuties! i was thinking about taking a picture of a friend's belgian malinois with regular dark colored shepherds, but i doubted that i could keep them all still like you apparently were able to... retrievers are much more mild-mannered dawgs... very nice, 7...
