 This emu was very curious and kept insisting on pecking my lens, it's a good thing I had a lens protector. I managed to capture images from several different angles but decided this one was the most interesting. The twig sticking out of the side of his beak sort of adds character to him. If nothing else, hopefully voters will get a good laugh.

Editing was minimal, mainly dodge and burn, some levels and USM.

I dont like that the beak fades and becomes nearly invisible, the eyes are great, 6

the beak and the background are a little washed out. Good capture though. I would have adjusted the tilt and crop to put the bird in the center.

i think a tighter crop may have helped make this get in your face some more, nicely sharpened and great colour in the eyes, well done
