Challenge: Water III (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Date: Apr 10, 2008
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 100

Galleries: Children, Photo-Impressionism
Date Uploaded: Apr 10, 2008

Since this challenge was "Water", my intention was to use the water to create an impressionistic image of children at play. I didn't want any of the children to be recognizable, because the water and play were the subjects, not the children. I am very happy with this image, because I feel I accomplished my goal exactly as I had envisioned it.

This is quite brilliant. The water is the subject and not the people. Not a lot of people manage that. Kudos, Julianne

Very nice shot. This reminds me of Noraneko's "Her favorite dress".

Wonderful fountain picture, Juli. I like how the one blue shirt stands out against the swirl of pinks and the cascading water.

nice idea...i would like to have seen some breaks in between the water streams, so you could actually see more of the kids.

good capture of this fun. it seems to me that the water drops are grey instead of white.
