Wonderful contrast and color and DOF very good too. You could get rid of the title though.

I don't usually comment on titles, but I think you'll offend quite a few people with this one. But I do like the photo and that's what I have to score on.

great close-up, and a real senses of character in the thing too. Colour is excellent, croppingworks well as it draws the eye toward the head and the eye. It may only be the reflectted light, but there's a sense of over-sharpening around the red areas, and perhaps a little detail lost - hand-held shooting, or a moving target and a not-quite-fast-enough shutter?

He's the colonel! :) Great job with capture and framing; the colors appear slightly dull, but that barely detracts from a really nice shot.

Good job! Nice that you caught the mouth open. The colouring is vg, and so is the textural detail. Should score high.

Good composition and nice textures and colors. A bit of distracting glare on his comb.

Break out the eleven herbs and spices!! This is one ugly dude....but a good picture. Would have liked to see it a touch sharper.

The light is a little harsh on the red thing (at a loss for words) but still a 7

Gosh, I'm getting a whole bunch of chicken anatomy lessons from DPC! This is another good rooster portrait. You must have had fun taking it.

Very nice detail.. the composition feels a little 'tight'.. primary elements are a bit too close to the edge of the frame in places. The background doens't support the subject well either, IMO. = 5
