Not so sure about the texture onthe background, but I thought it gave an overlay feel to it =]

The texture background works well for this shot. I do agree with Deb that blowing out the upper right(or cropping a bit more) could possibly benefit the shot.

beautiful, the only thing I might change is to completely blow out the top/right so that it's white but leave the lower left the same. loverly though

Quite striking upon initial view. The high contrast makes the butterfly seem like it has transparent cutouts.

wonderful use of silhoutte to capture the shape - the screen provides some cool texture to the shot and gives it a very graphic arts kind of feel
