I don't like the shadows much :-( did you use on camera flash?

A good effort, but I think the lighting was not great here. Looks like the cameras built in flash. The harsh shadows and glare in the middle really hurts it, I'm afraid. Some off-camera lighting from the side, and a closer view to show the details of this marble ball would have looked good.

The shadow from the flash is a bit harsh. I think that swiveling the flash might have yeilded a better result.

This is very harsh lighting which doesn't give the round form of the ball a chance to show how beautiful it is. I am guessing an on or near-camera flash was used.

Good choice of subject. I think a softer shadow would be nicer. Perhaps a closer crop.

I like the simplicity, but the lighting either needs to be softer, or more from the side in my opinion.

The flash doesn't help the subject at all. kind of flattens it out a bit. May want to try a bit of an angled, natural light.
