A square crop might let the viewer focus more on the petals.

The petals have an unusual feel to them. I'd like to see this cropped very tight to remove all of the background.

Beautiful rose. The lighting, IMO, could have hurt the overall texture of the rose though. Again- 'in my own opinion'. Great focus too.

Nice details and use of DOF. Colour is a little flat though. With the shallow DOF, some tweaking of the red could have given this image some pop... a 3 dimensional quality.
