A little sharper focus, play with your lighting a bit the shadows could be very impactful if they weren't directly behind the subjects. Not a lot of color here, play with apeture settings and shutter speeds. I'd ask the critique club or one of the forums for more advice, as I am not a photographer.

I can see why you've chosen this to photograph, but I feel you should have removed the box of magazines because all it does is distract from the subject.
