Taken at Þingvellir - this is Öxárfoss as many of you know already. This waterfall has been here at DPC many times before BUT it is constantly changing...

Jehey - did NOT expect a blue ribbon when this one was entered!!! First time for me taking my camera to this waterfall in Þingvellir.
Every Icelander (well almost) goes to Þingvellir every once in a while and there have been a few pictures submitted to DPC from there WHCH made me think that you would think "sigh, once again" BUT I am so happy that was not the case here :o) :o)

Öxárfoss - never heard of it but it sounds like something i say when I stub my toe in front of the little one. ;-) Super image, though! Well done and well deserved.
This is a super cool (no pun intended) shot. It had to be a tricky exposure as well with the water being in the shadow and not blowing out the sky. I wonder if you used a graduated n/d filter?
