What's happening to me? Again, I put in some time to get a Challenge shot since I actually remembered the theme while walking about. So again, I hope it does well.
I waited around for this guy to cast line or reel in, with the hope of getting a nice curve of the rod, squarely framed by the Manhattan Bridges suspension cables. As he moved from side to side a bit it was hard to line him up with the bridge in the six usable curved shots. I know if this had a richly clouded blue sky the voters would eat it up but it's a cool shot, as is.

These grey skies are a mixed blessing. Good for the depressed look. Good to prevent 255/255/255 pixels. But not terribly good for sharp focus or for clean photos. None-the-less, they are true to life. I think that guy fishes there almost every day. I bet he has a wife indoors that he needs to get away from ;-)
I know that location well. Maybe he has a striper. I find it easier to catch a live one from the tanks in Chinatown though. Glad to see a familiar image. Mixed curves therein.
very nice shot, but not sure if the fishing pole is the main focus here, I would have liked to see one of the towers of the Manhattan Bridge in a tight crop tho, and maybe you would meet the theme.. 5
