 I want to try capturing some fire. Wow, matching the exposure between the flame and the other surfaces is not as easy as I thought it would be. I'll certainly play with fire some more as we complete the month.

Love the colors on the gas flame; well captured, and a nicely different macro subject to see.

That's an interesting suggestion. I'll have to give it a try some time. I have never tried assembling an HDR image, but there's a first time for everything I suppose.

I wish i had a gas stove to play with fire shots. I've tried with a lighter, but your right, the exposure difference is a pain. Have you tried exposure bracketing and trying to HDR the images?

Nice shot JMart. Good exposure and super colours.
Funny thing, I was playing with fire last night too and came up with this. Not too impressed with the results but I learnt to not burn myself trying. lol
