Greetings! I got tagged in Louis "commenting beyond your comfort zone" thread, so am returning the favor by poking through the wedding gallery, where my eyes landed quickly on this image. Has that Lens Baby feel to it, and great emotion and energy and a great choice for b+w.
I don't ordinarily like wedding photographs here on DPC, because they seem to me to have a certain sameness about them. Some very good technicals, but too often with forced emotion. Not this one. The emotion and energy you've captured here is real, the blurred guests clapping around the couple in the center provides a snapshot into the real feeling of the event, which makes this a photograph that will be treasured for years to come. |
