Really fun shot. Lovely. This is a good example of how a photo can show a more 'real' reality than simply photo-realism, if that makes sense. Keep up the great work!
Having been there at that time of the day I cannot understand the colors.
Was this toned?
It's a great photo, but as people said it was oversharpened. My only thing is I am curious about the color.
Yep, THe HOTTEST March ever here in the city .... but it wasn't that HOT! The more I look at this the more I wonder? You are up above the water quite a bit in this picture... Was this taken with a SUPER Telephoto, or perhaps in a low flying aircraft? My only other guess would be at the top of a VERY TALL ship?
Ya, quite a ways away. I used a 500 mm lens to shoot in the parking lot of lawrence hall of science in the berkeley hills.
After I submited I realised that I sharpened once too often and got the ghosting on the suspension supports, live and learn.
Thanks for all the kind words and fine crits.
such a serene mood and lovely monochromatic treatment... one of my favorites (to move it to one of my ribbon picks I'd suggest softening the 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 composition -- somehow the water line and the orange line in the sky is too linear for the mood you've created - hope that makes sense...)
My highest rated of the challenge. The glow here is amazing and it only has a few flaws i see. The bridge lines (the top two) are contrasted too much, making it a little bit too pixelated. Otherwise, congratulations on a wonderful shot.
This is an excellent photo. I don't know how the sky ended up layering into two shades like that, but it certainly adds to the composition. The strong oranges here are rich, almost threatening. Very interesting look. This photo is tied with one other photo for my top vote of the week.

Nice color and composition but oversharpening hurts this image. Given the existing haze you would have been better to use softer focus to highlight that feature.
While a pleasing composition the photo looks to be fairly oversharpened. Especially around the top of the bridge's tower and the lines leading away from it.
wow what a color! From your title, I'd like to see the birdge as the main subject.
Maybe captured more on the right? just my opinion. Anyway a great shot!
