Taken at the Desert Botanical gardens in Phoenix about an hour before sundown. I was using an ultrafast shutter speed and I was as wide open as my cheap lens goes. Took at least 100 shots of different hummingbirds, will post outtakes later.

My instant rection to this, despite having seen umpteen dozen other humming bird photos, was "Oh WOW". This is seriously impressive, especially to a European who has never seen a hunimg bird in the flesh. Excellent work.
So many hummingbird shots are, for me, let down by the inclusion of unattractive plastic bird feeders. I love the way your shot has a hummingbird feeding at real and beautiful flowers. The colours are lovely as is the uncluttered beige of the background.
