I'm not sure the extra vase is really necessary. It might have looked better if the roses were in the blue vase and the shot was framed around the top of that vase.
like the concept, but the blue ring around the vase's neck is a distracting background. May have been better pulling the roses out of their vase and positioning them lower.
the clear vase in the bottom left corner is distracting... and the roses seem to be blocking some interesting details of the blue vase. Why didn;t you put them directly in the blue one?
I like the idea and the use of the white background really keeps your focus on the subjects. Would have liked it better if the image was a litter sharper though
Main subject for focus should be the flowers but this would detract from 'curves' challenge, you have a dilemma hear but original idea. Don't be offended, keep trying!
The lack of direct lighting onto the heads of the flowers really helps emphasise the dead / dying aspect, but I would prefer a little more focus on the petals.
