I like the squiggly edge of the tape. I would have given up on this shot long before posting, since I would have been trying to clone out all of the dust. The yellow is great!
I like the image but wonder if you were to play with the balance a bit you might really bring out the texture of the tape. It is there, can see it a little, but I think it would make the image pop a bit more if you could really see it.
Another wonderful macro from you! You have been doing a great job with this macro side challenge. Nice curves and contrast in color and shape in this image.
Great color reproduction. Super clarity in light and shadows. Crisp focus and nice crop. The dust on the black surface adds a great dimension to the whole. Impressed with DOF choice a lighting/exposure. A great macro capture for technicals. Would be hammered in challenges based on subject and a perceived lack of some redeeming underlying and unspoken message, but certainly a 6 from me in a Yellow, Rubber, Household or Tools challenge.
