This little woodpecker really gets around, doesn't he? Great detail and lighting- a worthy entry. You might burn in the right side a bit (a little too bright) and dodge the eye and face to bring out detail. I'd like to see the bird less centered, too.

Bird's head seems slightly out of focus. Good use of DOF. I also like how you cropped this image. Would make pretty good cover photo.

Nice capture but perhaps a selective sharpening around the bird's head would help it immensely. Nice background blur. How close were you able to get to this little guy?
