 I took this in my office, I wanted to do a self portrait and decided to use this challenge as a good theme. Used a crappy slave flash unit on my left along with the built in one. Not the best shot in the world but that is what learning is for. Opened in PS, cloned out minor blemishes, adjusted hue/saturation over eye on layer, next layer removed color, added blur in layer set to multiply to soften, adjusted contrast and brightness, added vignette, resized, added border, saved for web.

I feel this would benifit if the eyes were sharper, seems a bit blurry as it is now.

I am pulled to the fingers as they're in focus, unlike the eye, which I would consider to be the subject.

certainly fits in this challenge. nice colors...true to life.....but, the soft focus doesn't seem to work as well as a crisper focus

This might be a little more successful if the focus was on the eye rather than on the fingers.
