This is a shot that would have been more effective on the horizontal. The fact that she is going downhill is a given, what if she were presented as facing uphill or like I suggested...the snow being flat, her body then would be tilted out of center. It causes an optical illusion and is really impressive.
The border is distracting against the white and the whole photograph would be better if the whole thing was in blk & white the tiny bit of color on the snowborder is distracting.
