Wow, I didn't vote on this challenge and I just saw this picture on the top 3 and I clicked on it. I couldn't figure out how you done it until I saw the challenge title seconds later, even then I had a moment of disbelief..well done
I am so glad you posted the details. Made me smile. My husband and I had a long discussion in challenge trying to figure out how you did this. I decided that he had to be a base jumper.... : ) Great job and thanks for the entertainment. Congrats on the ribbon.
To answer how I did this I will post my original soon. I also want to thank my AMAZING friend for risking his life for my photo. What you can't see in the photo or the original is that the point where he was standing and jumping from was about 18 - 24 inches wide and very uneven. Considering he is afraid of heights I would say I owe him BIG TIME!!
OMG! How in the WORLD did you do that. Please, please PLEEASE put the details in this one! It's cruel and unusual punishment to let see something like this and not know the story behind it! Please???
Oh. . .and congratulations on the WELL-DESERVED ribbon! I LOVE this!
Hmmn! Very good idea! I must have a go at this - guess if we rotated the clouds so they looked horizontal, it would look even better, and maybe cloned the 'bottom' of the 'cliff', so it comes back over to the right some, I could be happily fooled into a sharp intake of breath, and wondering at what a good friend to have sacrificed so much for a friend. No second replays on this one?
I scored this one pretty high because it was memorable. I thought he was a base jumper at first but as I take a closer look, the light source (sun) is from the bottom. I'm guessing this is a very clever spin on "Tilted". You just flipped the photo upside down. He didn't fall...he jumped. Then landed back on the outcropping. That's awesome! Fooled me.
Ok, for my own sanity, I'm going to hope that this shot is rotated and that your very helpful model was just jumping in the air and posing. If the poor guy really is falling... *gulp* Great use of angles and tilt!
This was the best time. That first day I got a 7 hour conversation and a great tan. The second day you got a great photo. I hope it ribbons. BTW I'm very proud of how CREATIVE you have been over the last couple of months. It's been memorable.
This turned out great. Just one question, how many times did he scream before hitting the bottom, was he able to use his cell phone and call for help, who's idea was it to climb Koko Head at the hottest time of the day in designer gear?
I've only been through a few entries, but I have to tell you, this one will be hard to beat. The only way I could figure it out was to orient with the clouds. Great job!
I really really like this picture a lot. It's super cool. He really does look like he's falling. Just great picture. Looks like your guys had a lot of fun hiking. :]
