don't see the balance - they're both on a flat surface.

not a good angle for this shot, it just looks the the horizontal spoon is sitting on the table above the other spoon.

Its hard to tell what's happening. the flash flattens the image and makes it look as if both spoons are on the table. Lots of dead space in this photo too. Maybe you could try another angle.
