Challenge-wise lately, it's been bad times. I'm not sure if this will make them good again. I doubt it.
I was fiddling around with an old broken watch the other day and thought I could do some macros with it. I know that a Led Zeppelin song is a stretch, but the word 'time' is in the title - twice! The in-focus part is the good times, the out of focus is the bad times. I guess. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
This is just the face of the watch. I took it apart. Shot with 50mm lens and a 31mm extension tube. Red cellophane underneath, a desk lamp for light, a little basket between the light and the watch (for shadows) and a piece of red cellophane in the basket (for a reddish tint).
Post Process-
Open in Adobe RAW and set white point, open in Photoshop, crop, resize, shadow/highlight, levels, hue/saturation, brightness/contrast, photo filter, curves, noise ninja, sharpen, resize canvas

The DOF and angle are great and this is one of the few times I think the border works. I don't care for the way the watch/clock is cut off along the top edge.
