This photo was taken on a white cutting board with an SB-800 Nikon flash and a softbox for light defusion and softening.
Editing: I actually didn't do to much editing for this shot.. a little touch up with brightness and contrast and that was pretty much it.

I am not keen on the soft focus in this shot. Also, i think it might have helped to diffuse the light as the highlights are a little overexposed.

the highlights seem a little harsh and i'd like to see the handles in focus as well. other than that it was an accurate exposure

It's ok, but there's just nothing about this that grabs my attention, I'm afraid. Perhaps a closer in view might have had some more visual impact.

Too soft for metallic surfaces. Are these really silver?
