Maybe a close-up of the head to eliminate the browns of the zebra's body might be closer to a B&W subject, but I'll buy it. The colors, details and DOF are great. 7
With a closer crop, to get rid of some of the greenery, I could see this meeting the challenge. Sorry, it;s a great picture, but it loses points because of all the color.
I would have prefered a tighter crop on the left. The additional grass and tree don't add to the image for me. I find the piece of grass/straw on the nose a tad distracting.
there is a lot of color here... I view this challenge as trying to recreate a b&w photo even though it is in color, If this was a different challenge i feel it would have done better, The composition is nice, the focus is on and it is well lit.
