My take on this challenge is that we find a entry that has acheived a brown ribbon and then retake that shot how we think it should look. So, had it been me, this is how I would have composed the image and the materials I would have used :o)
Oh and, I've had got the title right! But for the purpose of this challenge I need to keep the title the same so voters can find the original shot :o(
Materials:
Black card background
Silver disposable plate covered with red table cloth then shaped into a heart
Fudge Brownie baked with my own fair hands
Editing:
Adjusted Levels, Contrast and hue/saturation...that's it!
How will this shot do 2nd time round? No idea, I think this is going to be a tough challenge with a lot of different ideas of what meets the challenge description. I'd be happy with anything over 5.7 though :o)

nice, much better than the original. nice sharp focus, very clean and I like that the brownie has good texture. the subject matter seems a little doomed, but I think you did a great job with it. I also like your take on the composition
I like this but I think theres too much negative space on the right. Bringing the subject more into the frame or maybe a square crop might look better.
