The purpose for taking this picture was to capture the beauty of my Valentine's Day Roses. I used a desk lap and had it directly facing the flower in the forefront. In editing I just played with the brightness/contrats and curves

The composition in this is really good. I also like the contrast in the lighting. However, it looks as if the focus is a bit off -- it is too focused to be soft focused and not focused enough to be sharp. Definitely a concept to keep working on, though, I think.
