Post Challenge:
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Lookie at that! An honorable mention for 4th place! 4th Place!
I am extremely happy at where this placed, thank you all so very very much for the great comments, critiques, votes and views! AHHHHHHh!
This was taken at some orchards near my house, we grow cherries and apples here during the summer (among various other fruits) and I decided that once every season I'll go back to this spot and do a seasonal collage at the end :
Winter shot - snowy orchards
Spring shot - cherry trees in bloom
Summer shot - cherries on trees
Autumn shot - Leaves changing colors
So look forward to that my friends. Once again, I'm thrilled and couldn't have asked for a better outcome!
Also its interesting on how much a different day may change a location, as you can see from the challenge I entered before this (Earliest Memories) I entered a shot similar to this one, but i took the critique i got, went back another day, and look at what became of it.
persistence pays off, and so does listening to critique and learning from it. Without both, you'll never get no where.

Great image Kari - I took a moment to check out "earliest memory" and really see the new perspective you have, also all the other fun pictures you've posted this winter, wow you've been busy and your front page portfolio looks great!! Keep it up in Utah County !!
Reminds me of our nearby botanic garden which also has a cherry tree esplanade. Or are those apple trees perhaps? I have always found it hard to photograph the esplanade being somewhat confused about where to focus the camera - at infinity? Anyway, I have never been satisfied with the results when I look at the 100% view. Yours seems much better. 8.
I am not sure whether there is an unambigious definition of leading lines, but in my book, they should be a line or several lines that lead the viewer's eye towards the main subject of the picture. I think that's not the case in this picture. Your pic uses a vanishing point rather than leading lines.
