LOL - I gave it a 10 then, and I'd give it a 10 now. Lovely work.

Very imaginative and beautifully lit. Putting the leaf where you did was an insoiration.

Zmared:
First I have submit my original photo and I have not been DQ'd. The only things I did in photoshop was to add some contract, size it down to 640, turn it to black & white, all which is legal.
Second I have used these same blinds in two other pictures, if you check my past challenges you will see them.
Third I didn't vote on this, The other members have voted on this and they must have thought it was very good for it to pull second place.
Plus I am very happy to have my first ribbon.Message edited by author 2004-03-28 05:40:37.

Forgive me, but what exactly is this? Blinds? If so, what kind of blinds give this type of pattern? I'm just not seeing what is so keen in this picture. Sorry if that offends, but I just don't see a 2nd place finish in this shot, compared to others in the group. To me, this looks more like something done in Photoshop than the works of photography. Please correct me and prove me wrong.Message edited by author 2004-03-26 00:24:08.

Peggy, originally this was one of my top three picks, but I change my mind. I should not have. :) Great job on a great shot.

Absolutely lovely! Shot a vaguely similar shot at the Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana last September. (I LIKE the pillars so diagonal!)

With the exception of two hot spots this is an exceptional image. It is still among the best of the challenge.

Absolutely interesting. Parallel as can be and the leaf adds all. Only the leaf ought to fit the photo slightly different according to my feel of composition. But who am I?9.

Black and white really makes this phot snap! I love the veins in the leaf, they really add to the absolute 'parallellity' of this shot.

I like this one, great job. Parallel lines are good, but what really does it is the diagonal direction you captured them at. Very nice work, one of this week's best.

Very good lightning. It extraordinary how you get the "strings" (or whatever its called, dont know the word but hope you know what I mean) in the leaf.
