 So sure not exactly a "portrait" per say but we were on the road and I liked this image better than any of the other ones I shot of either of us.

This is Lillie and I at the Grand Canyon. She's been my best friend since we were in elementary school and is more like a sister now. She drove with me when I moved to California from Florida a year and a half ago and just recently she drove me on my move to Philly. This was the only touristy stop we made on the trip.

First time seeing it for both of us! Great fun!

I like full-bodied and environmental portraits. Without meaning to criticize, I'm trying to figure out what makes a photo a snapshot and what makes it more professional? (And then when I learn, I can begin to apply it myself). :-)
In this case it may just be the very candid nature, and the fact it's a little soft. None of which takes away from the fact this is a treasured moment!

this looks kinda dangerous, but also like a lot of fun.
i think this shot goes well as a portrait shot, because imo portraiture is not just about showing a face , but about showing emotions and the person's personalities.
really fun shot and the landscape looks awesome!
