This was a very difficult shot to achieve. Not only for a dog to sit still long enough to take a photo of her. She was upset that she was tied up to the tree color and lease was photoshoped out. But for the 16 to 18 inches of new snow that had fallen the night before. Once you stepped onto the snow you would fall into it waist deep making it very difficult to walk the distance needed to get a rural wooded area. We walked and crawled almost a quarter of a mile out crossing a river to get to the location. At the end of it all three of us were wet, cold, tired, out of breath, and miserable. With the exception of onyx the dog who was having the time of her life playing in the snow.
